This Privacy Policy explains how GLG Insurance Professionals, Inc. (“GLG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information through glgins.com, our online quote tools, and related website communications. It does not replace any separate privacy notice we may provide in connection with an insurance application, policy, or customer relationship.

Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you use the site and may include:

• Contact and identification information: name, business name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and similar identifiers.
• Insurance and quote information: the type of coverage requested and details about a business, vehicles, drivers, employees, locations, operations, prior coverage, claims, and other underwriting information you choose to provide.
• Communications: questions, messages, attachments, call details, and other information included in correspondence with us.
• Website and device information: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, interaction data, and cookie or similar technology identifiers.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, payment-card information, patient records, protected health information, or other highly sensitive information through a general contact form unless a GLG representative has directed you to an approved secure method.

How we collect information

We collect information:

• directly from you when you request a quote, contact us, call us, or otherwise communicate with us;
• automatically through cookies, logs, analytics, and similar technologies when you use the site; and
• from service providers, insurance markets, referral partners, and other parties involved in responding to your request or servicing a business relationship.

How we use information

We may use information to:

• respond to inquiries and quote requests;
• evaluate insurance needs and communicate with insurers, wholesalers, managing general agents, and other insurance-market participants;
• provide, administer, support, and improve our services;
• communicate about renewals, products, services, and requested follow-up;
• operate, measure, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and quote tools;
• detect fraud, misuse, security incidents, and other prohibited activity; and
• comply with legal, regulatory, licensing, recordkeeping, and contractual obligations.

How we disclose information

We may disclose information to:

• Insurance-market participants, including insurers, wholesalers, managing general agents, premium finance providers, claims or risk-service providers, and others involved in obtaining or servicing requested coverage.
• Technology and business service providers that support hosting, analytics, communications, quote processing, email delivery, security, document handling, and customer service. Current website services include MyLeadPro, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Elastic Email.
• Payment providers. Online payments are handled on the independent ePayPolicy website. GLG does not collect payment-card details through glgins.com when you use that link.
• Professional advisers and authorities when reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, compliance, security, fraud-prevention, or regulatory purposes.
• Transaction participants in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.

We do not exchange personal information for money. Some privacy laws define “sale” or “sharing” more broadly and may treat certain analytics or advertising disclosures as covered activity. Where applicable, you may exercise the opt-out rights described below.

Cookies, analytics, and browser signals

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, understand traffic, measure interactions, and support our communications. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager may collect information about your use of the site over time and across websites, subject to their settings and policies. Because there is not a uniform industry standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, the site does not currently respond to them. We process legally recognized opt-out requests and signals as required by applicable law.

Some information may be exempt from state consumer privacy laws because it is regulated by insurance privacy laws, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, or another law. We will respond as required by the law that applies to the request.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to respond to a request, maintain business and insurance records, comply with legal and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, relationship, and applicable requirements.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use care when deciding what to submit online.

Children’s privacy

This site is intended for adults and business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the site, please contact us so we can review the matter.
